The Port of Moengo is situated in the longest and deepest river of Suriname named the Cottica River. Moengo was once known as the most industrialized district of Suriname. Due to the beneficial location and the demand for cheaper and environmentally friendly transportation, provides interesting benefits. There are, for example, short sailing times to the Guyana’s and excellent intermodal connections with ports within South America but also worldwide for container transport.
